2018 BAT RULES
Effective Jan. 1, 2018, ALL bats used in AABC, Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Dixie Youth, Little League and Pony Baseball sanctioned events MUST have the new USABat licensing mark clearly visible (these new bats are scheduled to be available 9-1-17). For more info visit: http://web.usabaseball.com/article.jsp?ymd=20150807&content_id=141742668 For 2018, NOBF will allow the USABat as well as the USSSA approved bats bearing the USSSA BPF 1.15 “thumb print” stamp to be used for the 8U through 13U divisions league games (14U and 16U divisions use HS bat rules). It is our understanding that USSSA also will allow the use of both types of bats. NOTE that it is EACH TEAM’S RESPONSIBILITY to access, review and adhere to individual rules regarding specific tournament and post-season competition. For more info visit: http://www.usssa.com/baseball/Announcements/#/?gdSport=11&AA=512 Also please note that the 2017 DeMarini Zen models WTDXCBR and WTCBZ available in various lengths/weights remain banned by USSSA, and therefore are not legal for NOBF play.
